WALLEYE
FISHING IN OREGON
Walleye are a great eating fish and truly fun and
challenging to fish for. The majority of my fishing is
on the Columbia River with some fishing being done in
the Multnomah Channel which flows on one side of
Sauvie's Island near Portland, Oregon. The other side of the
island is the Columbia River. The Channel is home to
some big Walleye as is the Columbia. The next worlds
record will come out of the Columbia soon.
A
FEW RECENT CATCHES
11th Annual Salmon Derby with these
guys (photo below)
at Hammond, Oregon
I was invited to
fish the annual Cascade
Salmon derby out of Hammond
and won first place for the
most fish caught. I had 18
bites today, with half of
them coming on Andy
Bentnar's Fatal Flash
spinners. These spinners are
deadly and if you don't have
one or two you are limiting
yourselves. You can buy them
at his shop at the West
Marina next to Tiki
Charters. I have always
fished herring at Buoy 10
but this year I opted to try
a couple of his blades, I
was not disappointed.

(see the photo on left)
are the winners with their
fish.
